Today I headed across the Pennines to speak about extensible WordPress plugin development in Leeds. The journey is surprisingly easy and I met up with some WordPress folk I haven’t seen in a while. A lovely evening with some cracking weather too.
I am currently sat on a Trans Pennine Express train from Edinburgh to Preston station having spent a thoroughly lovely weekend away at WordCamp Edinburgh. Like other WordCamp events this is a great opportunity to learn new things and met new people. This weekend was additionally special however as it was the first time I had the opportunity to meet some of our new team at Highrise Digital.
Today was the Leyland Fire Station Open Day. The fire station opened its doors to the public to allow us to have a look around the station, see the equipment they use and of course have a sit in some of the vehicles they use.
Today I amazed myself I think as I managed to run 7.6 miles – the furthest I think I have ever run in my life. I was very proud a very tired when I got back. Usually my route is between 4.8 and 6.6 miles long but today I was determined to better it and did an extra circuit at the end. I am now trying to achieve my new goal of 814 miles in 2017.
This weekend we took the opportunity to have a short break in Wales at a fiends caravan. We headed out there straight after school on Friday evening and arrived around 19:00 for Fish and Chips.
