Today we woke early (well the boys did!) as we still seem to be getting used to the loss of an hour with the change in the clocks. After some breakfast I headed out for a lovely morning walk on the beach with the boys. They love running around in the sand and spending time in the fresh air.
On our return, and with mum awakened we headed to the swimming pool for a swim. It was much busier this morning but the boys are definitely getting better at it now. In fact they don’t need constant supervision at all as they can both swim. This is great as it means I can swim without constantly needing to keep an eye on them. We certainly had two tired and hungry boys after the swim and ready for some lunch.
Lunch was some delicious homemade ham and salad sandwiches. After lunch the boys headed out to the arcade with their mother whilst I went for a beach walk to take some photos of the sea shore. Got some good snaps too and it was lovely listening to the sound of the waves for a few minutes.
Early afternoon and we decided to venture out in the car, heading towards Porthmadog to have a wander round, see the harbour and the trains. We saw the Welsh Highland Railway steam trains and had a leisurely walk through and around Porthmadog. The boys enjoyed playing on the park and we had a nice coffee, tea and snack for the boys in a local cafe.
We headed back late afternoon and on return we headed for some tea at the Ysgethin Inn, just up the road from where we were staying. We have a lovely evening meal with everyone cleaning their plates!
We had a good day today and it is always nice to not have to have a timetable and just go with the flow. Lets see what tomorrow is going to bring.
