WordPress London Meetup November 2018

I was happy and excited to be speaking at the WordPress London meetup in November for what turned out to be the last speaker of the year. I had a lovely trip down for what was a really good evening.

I was speaking about how we, at Highrise Digital transitioned to a block-based editor in WordPress before the new, soon to be released Gutenberg editor was a thing in WordPress.

The day started with some heavy storms (I think it was called store Dianne – although I may be wrong on that one!) and it meant some slight delays in lots of trains around the UK.

However I managed to get there with only minor delays and I was on time to the event, in enough time to get there a little early in order to get set up.

My talk went really well and seemed to be well received by the audience. The WordPress London meetup is always a pleasure to attend. A well organised, well-attended meetup with some lovely people. Sadly I never got the chance to speak to everyone, but it was good to see some familiar and new faces.

You can watch (although it may bore you to tears if you are not involved with WordPress at all) the video of my talk below.

You can view the slide deck here.
