The nature reserve us just off the M6 motorway at Junction 31. In fact you have to look for the signs in order to take the correct road or else you will end up on the motorway.
There is a selection of short walks you can take, which go in and around the nature reserve. We went on the perimeter walk – well sort of having got a little lost but ended up on a nice walk along the river.
We actually headed out to Southport to get some walking shoes however found ourselves in what looked like a 5 mile tail-back to get into Southport. Therefore we changed our mind and found the nature reserve on the way back.
With the weather starting to get a little better (although we had snow again this week) I am able to get out a little more walking the kids to school. In fact I am going to try and walk pretty much everyday that I can – i.e. if it is not throwing it down with rain.
On our last day of the short break we wanted to go on the Panorama walk to the south of Barmouth. We waited for a clear sunny day and we certainly got one as the views were stunning and well worth the short hike up the mountain.
With it being the half term holiday I took some time off work for a short stroll around the park with the Kids! On the way we encountered some massive swans (the biggest I have ever seen) and some rather amusing Gym equipment!
I ventured out with the kids this afternoon and thought we would call in on Grandad and Grandma and then take a stroll around Brindle Lodge. This is somewhere I would have walked through many a time as child but never been back since.
